Session Information

For all sessions, I ask for an allowance of up to three weeks for photo processing time. Portrait & Event sessions include online photo proofing & ordering (from a password-protected album) made available for 30 days. If you would like a photo disc accompanied by a release that allows for sharing and reprinting, they are available for $15.

  • Portraits: Includes Couples & Engagement, Children & Family, Maternity, Graduation, and Casual & Fashion
$50 for the first half hour; an additional $30 for each half hour thereafter

  • Events: Includes Family Reunions, other Celebretory Events and Parties, and Public Events requiring mostly candid work
$70 per hour, with a minimum of two billed hours

Summer Special on Childrens' Birthday Parties: $25 an hour, no miminum!

  • Weddings:
    $350 Basic Package
$70 for each additional hour on that day
$30 dollars per half-hour for formal (stylish dress) wedding party photos at a different site on an additional day before or after the wedding

The Basic Package includes two hours of my time on the day of your wedding, online proofing & ordering (from a password-protected album) made available for 60 Days, and a photo disc accompanied by a release for reprinting and sharing of the photos. I want you to remember your special day exactly the way you want it, so I ask that you communicate with me well before the ceremony what you would like to see out of your photos. If you would like me to take photos during the ceremony, I ask that you allow me to attend a rehearsal (no extra charge) so that I am better prepared to do so.

Sometimes couples want wedding photographers for longer than just a couple of hours; should you be in need of a photographer for your entire day, please contact me for custom pricing, which will vary by wedding and party size.

Details About My Services

What's up with the long processing time? After our session is over and I get back to my desk, I touch every photo we created to make sure it is just right! And (you can probably tell by the low rates I charge) I'm not paying the bills with photography work; I do have a full-time day job, which puts more limitations on my time than a full-time photographer might have. It also means that my available hours for sessions are often after 4pm on weekdays; but if you have a weekday event you don't want me to miss, believe me, I'd rather be taking pictures and my job does provide me with some schedule flexibility, so just ask! We can probably work something out.

If you think my prices seem a little high? Do keep in mind that my work is not over when we leave the session location. I'll easily spend just as long (if not longer, as is often the case) afterwards processing the photos out into files that prints can be made from. I use digital equipment, and it's my opinion that more care actually goes into processing raw digital files because we have so much control over every element in a photograph.

I do not at this time have a studio. On-site photos are more fun, anyway! If you don't have a location in mind, I'll work with you to choose one that suits your style and your mood. And if you have ideas about your session, I definitely want to hear them. Have a theme in mind? Want to use props? I like fun photo shoots, so I'm all ears!

Proofs are only available online. Prints ordered online ship directly to you; I am not responsible for their arrival. Shipping time will depend upon what carrier you designate at the time of purchase.

And as you may have noticed, this website serves both as a portfolio and a photo blog for yours truly. A lot of love goes into my photography, and there's a good chance a photo from your session may make it into my portfolio. In the event you do not wish me to use your photos as such, or if I put some up and you change your mind later, you reserve the right to request I remove them, and I will always comply. Your comfort and privacy comes first with me.

About Me

I am completely self-taught and I feel it provides me with an edge above the rest: the only box I'm trying to fit my subjects into is the viewfinder. You won't often find me without a camera nearby. I've been working with them for more than a decade and foresee no rest for my poor shutter finger any time soon.

My equipment of choice is digital. I run a Nikon D80 and the lenses I usually work with are a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and a Sigma 18-200mm 3.5.
